This is the 1864 Republican ticket used in Stockton, California for Abraham Lincoln’s re-election with his new Vice-President Andrew Johnson. Also on the ticket were the Party’s candidate for Congress in the 2nd District and the Stockton supervisor. Presidential elections before and during the Civil War produced a great increase in colorful tickets with powerful messages.
